Black Hawk Football Team Inspires BHS Elementary Readers

As part of March is Reading Month, Varsity football coach Scott Merchant teamed up with Conant, Eastover, Lone Pine, and Way elementary schools to arrange special reading sessions. With eager faces and books in hand, the players captivated their young audience, sharing their favorite stories and proving that literacy is just as powerful as athleticism. 

With big smiles and even bigger enthusiasm, the football players proved that being a champion isn’t just about winning games—it’s about giving back and inspiring the next generation of readers.
