November Highlights: Celebrating Black Hawk Athletic Achievements!

The boys and girls Black Hawks Hockey teams are back on the ice. Both teams have winning records to begin the Winter sports season. 

BHHS Girls Swim and Dive capped off their season at the MHSAA State finals! Kailey Bachmann (grade 10) placed 2nd in the 50 Butterfly and 3rd in the state in the 100 Butterfly. The 200 Freestyle relay team of Bachmann, Liv Baker (grade 12), Violet Keiper (grade 10), and Bailey Robinson (grade 10) took 7th place. The 400 Freestyle team of Keiper, Sophia Hawkins (grade 11), Bachmann, and Robinson also placed 7th. All of these winning times set BHHS school records. Even with only seven swimmers from BHHS at states, the team finished in 10th place! 

The BHHS Varsity Volleyball team completed the Fall season by advancing to the District playoffs. The athletes played hard, but ultimately lost to the team from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s.
